CHAPTER 167 AN ACT DIRECTING THE RETIREMENT BOARD OF THE TOWN OF SAUGUS TO PAY CERTAIN BENEFITS TO THE SURVIVING SPOUSE AND CHILDREN OF FIREFIGHTER WILLIAM CECIETA.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary and in order to promote the public good, the retirement board of the town of Saugus is hereby authorized and directed to pay Francine Cecieta the surviving spouse of firefighter William Cecieta an accidental death benefit as provided under the provisions of section nine of chapter thirty-two of the General Laws.

SECTION 2. Upon the death or remarriage of Francine Cecieta, the town of Saugus shall pay to the surviving children of William and Francine Cecieta until the age of eighteen an annuity of equal proportions to each child that shall total three-fourths of the amount of the pension payable to Francine Cecieta at the time of her death or remarriage.

SECTION 3. Francine Cecieta shall be eligible to receive the benefits of section nine D> of chapter thirty-two B of the General Laws.

SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
