CHAPTER 184 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF BOSTON TO GRANT A CERTAIN EASEMENT TO THE BOSTON EDISON COMPANY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 41 of the acts of 1988 is hereby amended by striking out section 1 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

Section 1. The city of Boston acting by and through its parks and recreation department, is hereby authorized to grant to Boston Edison Company a perpetual easement for facilities used in the transmission of electric current and for communication purposes incidental thereto under the surface of a certain parcel of land situated in said city. Said easement is shown on a plan entitled "Boston Edison Company Plan of Land of the Boston Common, Boston, Mass., Showing the Interests of the City of Boston, the Massachusetts Convention Center and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Depicting Location of Boston Edison Company Easements and License", dated September first, nineteen hundred and eighty-seven, and most recently revised on June twenty-eighth, nineteen hundred and ninety-three and on file with the Boston Edison Company to be recorded in the registry of deeds for Suffolk county.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
