CHAPTER 333 AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE RECYCLING OF FLUORESCENT LAMPS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the superintendent of state buildings and the commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations shall comply with the Green Light Program, so-called of the federal Department of Environmental Protection. Such compliance shall include, but not be limited to, the proper disposal of mercury containing lamps; provided, however, that recycling shall be used, whenever possible, as the preferred method of such disposal.
