Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the towns of Cohasset and Hingham are hereby authorized to install, own, operate and maintain a sewer main in any of the towns of Cohasset, Hingham and Hull, consistent with and subject to, the terms of one or more intermunicipal agreements among the towns of Cohasset, Hingham and Hull, or between any of them; provided, however, that any construction or other activities, which are to take place within the town of Hull, shall be subject to the specific and prior approval of the board of selectmen and the permanent sewer commission of the town of Hull. Any such intermunicipal agreement among the towns of Cohasset, Hingham and Hull, or between any of them, may remain in effect for not more than thirty-two years; provided, however, that such agreement may be extended for more than thirty-two years by further agreement among the towns of Cohasset, Hingham and Hull, or between any of them. Except as provided herein, said installation, ownership, operation and maintenance shall otherwise be subject to the local and state laws and regulations.
