CHAPTER 432 AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ANNUAL OBSERVANCE OF THE MONTH OF OCTOBER AS POLISH-AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 15VVV, inserted by chapter 214 of the acts of 1996, the following section:-

Section 15WWW. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the month of October as Polish-American Heritage Month, in recognition of the significant contributions Polish-Americans have made to the commonwealth and to the United States. The governor may include such contributions as he shall see fit, after consultation with Polish-American groups, in such proclamation and shall recommend that said month be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
