CHAPTER 445 AN ACT REQUIRING CERTAIN HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS TO WEAR IDENTIFICATION BADGES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Section 70E of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as amended by section 2 of chapter 202 of the acts of 1996, is hereby further amended by inserting after the eighth paragraph the following paragraph:-

A facility shall require all persons, including students, who examine, observe or treat a patient or resident of such facility to wear an identification badge which readily discloses the first name, licensure status, if any, and staff position of the person so examining, observing or treating a patient or resident.
