CHAPTER 468 AN ACT RELATIVE TO DISTINCTIVE LICENSE PLATES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the joint committee on public safety and the registrar of motor vehicles are hereby authorized and directed to make an investigation and study relative to establishing criteria for the creation and issuance of distinctive collegiate motor vehicle license plates and other distinctive license plates for the commonwealth. The joint committee on public safety and the registrar of motor vehicles shall report to the General Court the results of their investigation and study on or before April first, nineteen hundred and ninety-seven.
