CHAPTER 494 AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE CONSERVATION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HOLYOKE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Section 34 of chapter 435 of the acts of 1896, as most recently amended by chapter 189 of the acts of 1992, is hereby further amended by adding the following paragraph:-

There shall be a conservation commission consisting of seven members, who shall be residents of the city of Holyoke, appointed by the mayor subject to confirmation by the city council. The members shall be appointed for three year terms commencing on the first Tuesday in February. Any vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as an original appointment. A member may be removed for cause in the manner provided by section eight C of chapter forty of the General Laws.
