Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 69I of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1994 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 5, the words "shall, individually or jointly with others," and inserting in place thereof the following words:- , except municipal corporations authorized to operate a municipal lighting plant under the provisions of sections thirty-four to thirty-six, inclusive, shall.

SECTION 2. Said section 69I of said chapter 164, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 11, the words "shall individually or jointly with others" and inserting in place thereof the following words:- , except municipal corporations authorized to operate a municipal gas plant under the provisions of sections thirty-four to thirty-six, inclusive, shall.
