Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary,
the
Endowment Committee of the First Congregational Church of Holliston may
transfer
to the town of Holliston all funds held by the committee under
chapter 74
of the acts of 1828 and chapter 216 of the acts of 1930. The town may
establish a special
fund to be known as the Cemetery Care Fund into which the funds transferred
from
the Endowment Committee shall be deposited. The funds shall be invested in a
separate account in the manner authorized in sections 55 and 55B of
chapter 44 of
the General Laws. Any interest earned shall be credited to and become a part
of
the separate account. The funds shall be reserved for appropriation for the
maintenance of the burial lots of Sylvia A. Daniels, Luther Howe,
Amos C. Leland,
Augustine S. Bemis, Ethelyn H. Putnam and Susan V. Littlehale in the
cemetery
known as the Central Burial Ground.
