Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding sections 2A and 38 of chapter 59 of the General Laws, the board of assessors of the city of Peabody may for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2003 determine the valuation of the property known as Building No. 6 at Ledgewood Condominiums, destroyed by the fire of December 18, 2003, at the time immediately after the fire for the purpose of granting abatements applied for under section 59 of said chapter 59. +s

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage. @s
