AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF SWANSEA TO GRANT AN ADDITIONAL LICENSE FOR THE SALE OF ALL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES NOT TO BE DRUNK ON THE PREMISES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General
Laws, the licensing
authority in the town of Swansea may grant to the Buffington Mini Mart, Inc.
at 75 Buffington Street in said town, a license for the sale of all alcoholic
beverages not to be drunk on the premises under section 15 of
said chapter 138. The license shall be subject to all said
chapter 138 except section 17.
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the
contrary, upon the granting
of the license pursuant to section 1, the license for the sale of
wines and malt beverages not to be drunk on the premises granted pursuant to
said section 15 of said chapter 138 which is presently held by Buffington
Mini Mart, shall
revert back to the town of Swansea.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
