CHAPTER 6 RESOLVE PROVIDING FOR AN INVESTIGATION AND STUDY BY A SPECIAL COMMISSION RELATIVE TO ESTABLISHING A SUITABLE MEMORIAL TO HENRY CABOT LODGE, JR.

RESOLVED, That a special commission to consist of five members of the senate, ten members of the house of representatives, and four persons to be appointed by the governor, is hereby established for the purpose of developing plans to promote, through public subscription, the establishing of an appropriate memorial to Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr. Such commission may receive and expend such funds as may be donated to it for such purposes. Said commission shall report to the general court the results of its investigation and study and its recommendations, if any, together with an accounting of funds received and expended and drafts of legislation necessary to carry its recommendations into effect by filing the same with the clerk of the house of representatives on or before the last Wednesday in December, nineteen hundred and eighty-six.
