AN ACT AUTHORIZING COHASSET WATER COMMISSIONERS TO SERVE IN OTHER TOWN OFFICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 14 of chapter 128 of the acts of 1886, as amended by section 6 of chapter 489 of the acts of 1946, is hereby further amended by striking out, in lines 2 to 4, inclusive, the words "(none of whom during their service shall hold any other regular, elective or appointive town office)".
SECTION 2. Said section 14 of said chapter 128 is hereby further amended by inserting after the first sentence the following sentence:- Water commissioners during their service shall not hold any other elective office.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
