AN ACT AUTHORIZING A CERTAIN QUESTION TO BE PLACED ON THE 2008 STATE ELECTION BALLOT IN THE TOWN OF LITTLETON.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 42C of chapter 54 of the General Laws or section 21C of chapter 59 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, in order to ascertain the will of the voters of the town of Littleton the state secretary shall cause to be placed on the official ballot to be used in the November 2008 state election in the town of Littleton the following question:

“Shall the town of Littleton be authorized to exempt from the provisions of proposition 2½, the amounts required to pay for the bond issued in order to construct a new police station to be located on town-owned property at 500 Great road, including original equipment and landscaping, paving and other site improvements incidental or directly related thereto? Yes___; No___”

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
