AN ACT RELATIVE TO PLACING A PLAQUE AT THE MCCARTHY PAVILION IN THE CITY OF REVERE IN MEMORY OF GRACE HILL SANNELLA.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to place forthwith a plaque in memory of Grace Hill Sannella, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

A plaque shall be installed at the northeast side corner of the McCarthy pavilion located in the Revere beach reservation, which is under the care and control of the department of conservation and recreation, in the city of Revere in memory of Grace Hill Sannella for her 42 years of faithful service to the citizens of the city as an advocate for Revere beach. The department of conservation and recreation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department which shall include the inscriptions:

“Her time is forever, everywhere is her place”, and

“November 22, 1939 – June 3, 2018”.
