AN ACT FURTHER REGULATING THE DISPOSITION OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN THE CITY OF NORTHAMPTON.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to further regulate the disposition of certain parcels of land in the city of Northampton, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  The first paragraph of section 15 of chapter 86 of the acts of 1994, as appearing in section 1 of chapter 241 of the acts of 2016, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- The conveyance to the city of Northampton shall be without consideration and shall not be subject to sections 33 to 37, inclusive, of chapter 7C of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary.

SECTION 2.  The first sentence of the second paragraph of said section 15 of said chapter 86, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the figure “2021” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 2023.

SECTION 3.  The first sentence of the last paragraph of said section 15 of said chapter 86, as appearing in section 2 of chapter 241 of the acts of 2016, is hereby amended by striking out the figure “2017” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- 2020.
