AN ACT VALIDATING THE ACTIONS OF THE TOWN OF EAST BROOKFIELD RELATIVE TO THE HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE OF TOWN EMPLOYEES AND RETIREES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the actions of the town of East Brookfield and its board of selectmen in offering health insurance coverage to town employees and retirees pursuant to chapter 32B of the General Laws, are hereby validated, ratified and confirmed, as if the town had properly voted to approve the question set forth in section 10 of said chapter 32B, and section 9A of said chapter 32B, in accordance with the law.  The town may continue to provide such insurance pursuant to said chapter 32B as if the town had properly approved the question set forth in said section 10 of said chapter 32B; provided, however, that such actions are otherwise taken in accordance with said chapter 32B.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
