The 193rd General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN PLAYGROUND IN THE CITY OF CHELSEA AS THE JACK W. FRASER MEMORIAL PLAYGROUND.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a playground in the city of Chelsea as the Jack W. Fraser Memorial Playground, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The playground located in Mary O’Malley State Park in the city of Chelsea, which is under the care and control of the department of conservation and recreation, shall be designated and known as the Jack W. Fraser Memorial Playground in recognition of Jack W. Fraser, who helped revitalize the Mary O’Malley State Park. Jack W. Fraser was a long time resident of the city who was active in the community, served in the United States Army and passed away on May 24, 2017. The department shall erect and maintain a suitable marker bearing this designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

Approved, May 14, 2020.
