An Act to Amend Chapter 395 of the Acts of 1970, As Amended ..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1.  The first two sentences of Section 8 of Chapter 395 of the Acts of 1970, as amended by Acts of 1972, Chapter 708; Acts of 1984, Chapter 300; Acts of 1985, Chapter 291; Acts of 1987, Chapter 735; Acts of 1989, Chapter 333; Acts of 1990, Chapter 314; Acts of  1998, Chapter 193; Acts of 2000, Chapter 57; and Acts of 2002; Chapter 90, are hereby amended to read as follows, the remaining text of Section 8 to remain unchanged:

Section 8. The Historic District Commission shall elect its Chairman and Vice-Chairman. The Commission shall meet within ten (10) days of the receipt of an application for a certificate of appropriateness or permit for removal and at such other times as the Commission may determine or upon call of the Chairman or of any two (2) members.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
