In the Year Two Thousand Nine

An Act relative to the amount of money allowed for burial expenses..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 2 of chapter 118 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 29, the words “eleven hundred dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following:— $1,650.

SECTION 2. Said section 2 of said chapter 118, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 31, the words:— “fifteen hundred dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following:— $2,250.

SECTION 3. Section 7 of chapter 118A of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 6, the words “eleven hundred dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following:— $1,650.

SECTION 4. Said section 7 of said chapter 118A, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 8, the words “fifteen hundred dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following:— $2,250.
