An Act AUTHORIZING EMPLOYEES OF THE INSPECTOR GENERAL’S OFFICE TO PARTICIPATE IN REPRESENTATIVE TOWN MEETING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 4 of chapter 12A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended, in line 30, by inserting after the word “employee” the following:
; provided, however, that nothing in this section shall prohibit an officer or employee from holding, or being a candidate for, the office of town meeting member in any town in which there has been constituted and established a form of representative town meeting government under a special statute or chapter 43A.
