An Act relative to rent escrow..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Section 8A of chapter 239 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the word “and” in line 30.

SECTION 2.  Said section 8A of said chapter, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting, after the word “vacated; ”, in line 32, the following clause:-

   and (5) the tenant or occupant deposits with the clerk all rent due prior to final disposition of the plaintiff’s action;
