An Act relative to the minimum training wage..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Said chapter 151 is hereby amended by adding at the end of the first paragraph the following:—
This Section shall not apply to workers under the age of eighteen during the first ninety (90) days of employment. Said ninety day (90) period shall be referred to as a training period. A wage of less than $0.50 below the minimum wage, in any occupation, during a training period as defined in this chapter, shall conclusively be presumed to be oppressive and unreasonable, wherever the term “minimum training wage” is used in this chapter, unless the commissioner has expressly approved or shall expressly approve the establishment and payment of a lesser wage under the provisions of sections seven and nine.
