An Act relative to retracting hypodermic needles. _______________.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 27 of chapter 94C of the General Laws, as most recently amended by chapter 172 of the acts of 2006, is hereby further amended by striking out, in lines 1, 5 and 6, where they appear, the words “hypodermic syringes or hypodermic needles” and inserting in place thereof in each instance, the following words:- retracting hypodermic syringes or retracting hypodermic needles.
SECTION 2. Section 27A of chapter 94C of the General Laws, as most recently amended by said chapter 172 of the acts of 2006, is hereby further amended by striking out, in lines 5,7, 16, 35, 38 and 42, the words “hypodermic needles’ and inserting in place thereof in each instance, the following words:- retracting hypodermic needles.
SECTION 3. Paragraph (d) of section 32I of chapter 94C of the General Laws, as inserted by said chapter 172 of the acts of 2006, is hereby amended by striking out the words “hypodermic syringes or hypodermic needles” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- retracting hypodermic syringes or retracting hypodermic needles.
SECTION 4. Section 25K of chapter 111 of the General Laws, as most recently inserted by said chapter 172 of the acts of 2006, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 2, 3 and 4, the words “hypodermic syringes and needles” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the words:- retracting hypodermic syringes and retracting hypodermic needles.
SECTION 5. Said section 25K of said chapter, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out the last sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:-
This educational insert shall be provided to purchasers of retracting hypodermic syringes or retracting hypodermic needles.
SECTION 6. Paragraph (a) of section 47Y of chapter 175 of the General Laws, as most recently inserted by chapter 172 of the acts of 2006, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 3, the words “hypodermic syringes or needles” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- retracting hypodermic syringes or retracting hypodermic needles.
SECTION 7. Section 8Z of chapter 176A of the General Laws, as most recently inserted by chapter 172 of the acts of 2006, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 3, the words “hypodermic syringes or needles” and inserting in place thereof the following words:-
retracting hypodermic syringes or retracting hypodermic needles.
SECTION 8. Section 4Z of chapter 176B of the General Laws, as most recently inserted by chapter 172 of the acts of 2006, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 3 the words “hypodermic syringes or needles” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- retracting hypodermic syringes or retracting hypodermic needles.
SECTION 9. Section 4R of chapter 176G of the General Laws, as most recently inserted by chapter 172 of the acts of 2006, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 2, the words “hypodermic syringes or needles” and inserting in place thereof the following words:-
retracting hypodermic syringes or retracting hypodermic needles.
