An Act authorizing the state retirement board to reinstate John Evans as a member of the public employees retirement system..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the state retirement board is hereby authorized and directed to reinstate as a member in the public employees retirement system John Evans, a former employees of University of Massachusetts, Amherst; provided, however, that said John Evans shall repay to said public employees retirement system for the purpose of establishing creditable service the amount of regular deductions together with regular interest from the period of service for which he waived his retirement allowance, such repayment to be made in one lump sum or in installments as the board shall prescribe.
