An Act increasing the experience and background necessary to operate low pressure processed steam boilers..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 146, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 17, after the words “a district engineer inspector” the words: - “who shall be a licensed Massachusetts First Class Engineer”.
SECTION 2. Section 2 of chapter 146, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in line 13, after the words “certificate of inspections” the following sentence: - “The ‘Board’ shall not formulate or adopt rules for persons licenses under the Massachusetts Law Chapter 146”.
SECTION 3. Section 13 of chapter 146, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after line 7, the following new section:- “All facilities with low pressure processed steam below fifteen (15) pounds shall be operated and maintained by a dually licensed second class fireman. This license must be renewed every five (5) years and shall require thirty (30) hours of training from an approved school by the department of public safety”.
