An Act providing for tolls on the New Hampshire border..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 6A of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 19A the following section:-

Section 19B. The executive office of transportation shall establish toll booths for the collection of revenue on both Interstate 93 and Interstate 95 before the Massachusetts/New Hampshire border traveling from both Massachusetts to New Hampshire and New Hampshire to Massachusetts.  Said toll booths shall be placed after the last Massachusetts exit ramp before the border of New Hampshire on both interstates.

Said toll booths shall be under the jurisdiction of said executive office which shall be responsible for the administration and the setting of tolls.  Revenues realized by this act shall be used by said executive office for the creation and maintenance of our state roads and bridges, as well as other critical transportation needs of the commonwealth as determined by said executive office.
