An Act exempting certain elderly persons from paying tolls..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Subsection (a) of section 10 of chapter 81A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:— The authority shall not charge or collect a toll for transit over the turnpike and the different parts and sections thereof by private passenger vehicles registered to persons 70 years of age or older. The authority shall issue passes or stickers to carry out the provisions of this paragraph.
SECTION 2. Subsection (b) of section 10 of chapter 81A of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:— The authority shall not charge or collect a toll for transit through the Callahan Tunnel, the Sumner Tunnel or the Ted Williams Tunnel by private passenger vehicles registered to persons 70 years of age or older. The authority shall issue passes or stickers to carry out the provisions of this paragraph.
