In the Year Two Thousand Nine

An Act to provide transitional funding for a new school region..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately assist the creation of a new school district, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, there shall be established a special non-recurring operating reserve of $1,835,000 to assist the new Ayer, Lunenburg and Shirley school district.
