An Act providing for nomination to political office by fees..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 53 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out sections 44,45,46,47,48,58, 59, 60,61 and 70 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

Section 44.  The nomination of candidates for nomination at state primaries, the nomination of candidates of political and municipal parties to be voted at city and town elections and the nomination of candidates for state, ward and town committee shall be by the paying of filing fees to be established from time to time by the state secretary.
