An Act relative to the selling of soft air guns to minors..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 269 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 12A the following section:-
Section 12A1/2. Whoever sells to a minor under the age of 18 or whoever, not being the parent, guardian or adult teacher or instructor, furnishes to a minor under the age of 18 a soft air gun, shall be punished by a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $200 or by imprisonment for not more than 6 months.
For the purpose of this section, an air soft gun is defined as a type of gun used for recreational purposes, and firing non lethal projectiles. An air soft gun can be spring, gas or electric powered.
