An Act relative to promoting tourism by lowering certain taxed..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 23A of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 14 the
Section 14A. In order to promote tourism, the governor may lower the meal taxes to not less that 2 per cent and the gas tax to 5 cents per gallon. Said reductions shall be simultaneous and shall not exceed 3 days.
