Section 2 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:—
The registrar shall issue dual registrations for trucks, which may be used on automobiles owned by the truck owner. The registration plates may be transferred from vehicle to vehicle. Registration fees shall be 1 ½ times of that of the truck. Insurance shall be based on the higher price which or the high risk vehicle whichever is greatest. Both vehicles shall be on the registration. Registration plates shall be a symbol indicating dual registration. There may be only 1 dual registration per household in the name of the truck owner only. Only drivers listed on registration may drive the vehicles. Other vehicle may not be a truck; it must be an automobile at least 50 per cent more efficient than the truck.
