SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Nantucket, acting by and through its board of selectmen, may sell, grant and convey to the Nantucket Islands Land Bank, a government body of the commonwealth or a non-profit organization whose mission is to conserve natural resources or otherwise dispose of the fee, a conservation restriction or lesser interests in all or any portions of parkland being that part of Nantucket known as Muskeget Island described in an instrument of taking authorized by chapter 442 of the acts of 1895 dated November 25, 1895 recorded at the Nantucket registry of deeds in book 79 page 266.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
