An Act relative to the provision of health insurance and other benefits in the Town of Phillipston.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the actions of the Town of Phillipston and its Board of Selectmen since acceptance by the Town in 1966 and/or the vote of Town Meeting under Article 45 of the 1986 Annual Town Meeting warrant to provide insurance and benefits authorized by Section 10 of Chapter 32B of the General Laws, and all actions taken pursuant thereto, are hereby ratified, validated and confirmed as if the Town of Phillipston had properly voted to approve the question set forth in Section 10 of said Chapter 32B in accordance with law, and further, the Town of Phillipston is hereby authorized to continue to provide such insurance and benefits under Chapter 32B of the General Laws as if the voters of the Town had properly approved the question set forth in Section 10 of said Chapter 32B, provided, however, that such actions are otherwise taken in accordance with the requirements of said Chapter 32B.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon passage.
