An Act establishing sick leave banks for certain members of the department of corrections..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the department of correction shall establish a sick leave bank for Lou Polson and Eric Polson, employees of said department.  Any employee of the department may voluntarily contribute 1 or more of his sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave banks for use by Lori Polson and Eric Polson in the case of their daughter’s illness.  Whenever Lori Polson or Eric Polson terminates their employment with the department or requests to dissolve their sick leave bank, the balance of sick leave shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.  Sick leave bank day shall not be used for absences unrelated to the illness that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the department.
