An Act RELATIVE TO THE HEALTH AND SAFETY ON PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.   Section 39M of chapter 30 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended in subsection (c) by adding at the end thereof the following:−

For the purposes of this section, each employee shall complete the required course in construction safety and health once every 5 years.

SECTION 2.   Section 39S of chapter 30 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following:−

For the purposes of this section, each employee shall complete the required course in construction safety and health once every 5 years.

SECTION 3.   Section 44E of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended in paragraph E of subsection (2) by inserting at the end of the second paragraph in line 77  the following:−

For the purposes of this section, each employee shall complete the required course in construction safety and health once every 5 years.

SECTION 4.   Section 44F of chapter 149 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended in subsection (2) by inserting in paragraph I in line 138 after the words “each employee;” the following:−

that each employee has completed the required course in construction safety and health at least once every 5 years;
