In the Year Two Thousand Nine

An Act relative to the promotion of a member of the firedepartment of the town of Framingham..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.   Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the town of Framingham, acting by and through its board of selectmen, may promote John Costanza, a lieutenant in the fire department of said town at the time of his death in 1979 while in the line of duty, to the rank of captain.  The promotion is titular only, and shall not constitute or confer any additional benefits or rights arising therefrom.
