An Act Validating The Actions Taken At The May 18, 2009, Special Town Meeting Held By The Town of Lynnfield..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding section 10 of chapter 39 of the General Laws or any other general or special law or by-law to the contrary, any amendments to the charter of the town of Lynnfield proposed at the special town meeting that commenced on May 18, 2009, may be submitted to the voters of the said town at the next annual town election, provided that the attorney general shall first have reported that the substance of said amendment does not conflict with the constitution or laws of the commonwealth. 

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
