SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary and pursuant to the provisions of Article 97 of the Amendments to the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the town of Truro is hereby authorized to transfer the care, custody, management and control of three certain parcels of land, described in section 2, from the Truro board of selectmen currently held for well field purposes to the board of selectmen to be held for the purpose of leasing said parcels to the town of Provincetown for a term of 99 years for well field purposes and is authorized to lease said parcels to the town of Provincetown.
SECTION 2. The parcels of land authorized for transfer and lease in section 1 are as follows: Assessor’s Map 40, Parcel 71, located off North Union Field Road, acquired by Truro pursuant to an order of taking dated January 22, 2008, and recorded with the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds in Book 22651, Page 174; Assessors Map 40, Parcel 73, located off North Union Field Road, acquired by Truro pursuant to an order of taking dated July 29, 2008, recorded with said Deeds in Book 23090, Page 71; and Assessors Map 40, Parcel 77, located off North Union Field Road, acquired by Truro pursuant to an order of taking dated January 22, 2008, and recorded with said Deeds in Book 22651, Page 183; said parcels being the areas identified as Parcels 1, 3, and 2, respectively, on a plan recorded with said Deeds at Plan Book 589, Page 49.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
