An Act to Determine the Graduation Requirements for Students Receiving Special Education Services..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1D of chapter 69 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “graduation” ,in line 59, the following words:—; provided, however, for students receiving Special Education Services under an Individualized Education Program, the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team shall determine the components of the competency determination and graduation requirements for that particular student; however, the parent, student or guardian shall have the right to defer graduation until age 22.
