AN ACT RELATIVE TO SEWER AND WATER SERVICE IN THE TOWN OF HINGHAM.
SECTION 1. The town of Hingham, acting by and through its board of selectmen, may connect a certain area of land in the town of Hingham to the sewer system of the town of Weymouth or the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. The area of land is described as all the land in southwest Hingham that is included in the Industrial Park and Office Park Districts, and the small residentially-zoned carve-outs on Abington street in said town, as shown on the map entitled “Zoning Map-Parts A and C of Town of Hingham, Massachusetts” prepared by Coler and Colantonio, dated 2009. In furtherance thereof, the town of Hingham may enter into a permanent membership with and become a permanent member of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority for the supply of a supplemental public water supply for the town in accordance with section 8(d) of chapter 372 of the acts of 1984, as amended.
The town of Hingham, acting by and through its board of selectmen, may execute and deliver all instruments, including long-term contracts and agreements, to accomplish and facilitate the purposes set forth in this act.
