An Act increasing the experience and background necessary to operate low pressure processed steam boilers..

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 146 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 17 and 18, the words “of inspection of the department of public safety”, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- who shall be a first class engineer licensed under section 49.

SECTION 2. Section 46 of said chapter 146, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the first paragraph the following paragraph:-

Notwithstanding the provisions of the first paragraph to the contrary, a facility with a low pressure processed steam boiler with a pressure carried below 15 pounds to the square inch involved in the process, production and manufacturing of a product, commodity or chemical, shall require periodic attendance.
