An Act Authorizing the licensing authority of the City of Woburn to issue ten additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. a) Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, the licensing authority of the City of Woburn may issue ten additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk of the premises pursuant to section 12 of said chapter 138 provided said licensee shall be issued to establishments within the area of the city zoned either Business Downtown (B-D) or Commerce Way Corridor Overlay District (CWCOD). b) Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the licensing authority shall not approve the transfer of a license so issued within one or either of said above referenced zoning districts to another location outside of one of the above zoning districts, provided a license may be transferred from the B-D district to the CWCOD district or vice-versa. c) If any licensee of a license granted hereunder terminates or fails to renew its license, the license shall revert to the Licensing Commission and shall only be re-issued to qualified applicants doing business within one of the aforementioned zoning districts in the City of Woburn.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its passage
