An Act Relative to Voting Precincts in the City of Everett..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding section 4 of chapter 54 of the General Laws, the redivision of the city of Everett into precincts established by the board of aldermen on February 9, 2009, the common council on February 17, 2009 shall be used commencing with the municipal primary and election in 2009 and every primary and election, municipal, state or national held thereafter until such time as new precincts are drawn in accordance with section 2 of chapter 54 of the General Laws.

SECTION 2.  A copy of the new precinct lines, including a written description, shall be filed with the local election district review commission.

SECTION 3.  The board of registrars and the city clerk of the city of Everett shall take all necessary actions to assure compliance with this act including, but not limited to actions assuring the accuracy of the voting lists for each precinct.

SECTION 4.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
