An Act relative to free transponders..

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, rule or regulation to the contrary, the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority shall make available, at no cost, Fast Lane transponders to operators of motor vehicles registered in the Commonwealth.

(b) The secretary of transportation shall issue those regulations it considers necessary or appropriate to implement this act.
