An Act further regulating tanning facilities.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 111 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out section 211, as so appearing, and inserting in place thereof the following section:-
Section 211. (a) No person under the age of 16 shall use a tanning device.
(b) No person 16 years of age to 17 years of age, inclusive, shall use a tanning device without the prior written consent of a parent or legal guardian. Before obtaining consent, the tanning facility shall provide to the parent or guardian a copy of the warnings required under section 209. The parent or guardian shall sign a statement in the presence of the operator acknowledging receipt and understanding of the warnings. The operator shall sign the written consent form as a witness to the signing of the parent or guardian.
