An Act prohibiting campaign signs on public property..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, no political sign may be placed or affixed to any property that is tax-exempt, including local, state and federal property and property owned by a non-profit. Any candidate or campaign committee violating the provisions of this act may be ordered to remove the sign or be punished by a fine of not more than $100. The city or town clerk in each municipality shall have the authority to enforce the provisions of this act.
