An Act relative to education collaboratives.

 

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to increase the capacity of collaboratives, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 92 of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in section 8 of chapter 12 of the acts of 2010, is hereby amended by inserting after subsection p the following subsection:-

(q) For the purposes of this section, the board of directors of an education collaborative shall be the local school committee, and the executive officer of an education collaborative shall be the superintendent.
